A little early bp by the Astros and Rich B. came away with the lead with 3. Followed by Ken and
myself with one each . Can't wait for 4:30 45 mph gusts !!!

update : Very Disappointing . Only 7 more on Waveland and 3 on Sheffield during regular bp.
Moe showed up and tried to take the days lead from Rich but came up one short .

Strong South winds and the Cubs could only manage 2 in bp. Not to worry , the Houston
Astros are in town and they rarely disappoint . Carlos Lee and Chris Johnson led the way
with the latter banging 2 balls of the the apartment building on the fly , one in between the
2nd and 3rd floors , then Lee launched one which landed 480ft + away from home ,bouncing
into the fourth yard sending the Ballhawks scrambling down Kenmore with Scott coming away
with prize face down in the flower garden ..lol .

Nick ( aka scraps ) came away the leader with 4 in bp followed by ( Old School ) George with
2 and Moe , Matt ( Stretch ) , Rich ( Jurasic Ballhawk ) , and myself trailing with one each.

Nick and Matt had field box tickets , sect 14 !! , and were in prime location for tossups in the
early innings. Once the inning is over , the last player with the ball will usually toss it into the
stands on the way in . So after Colvin made a nice diving catch , and Carlos Lee grounded out,
first basemen Nady jogged in toward the dugout and sent one in the direction of Matt and Nick.
Nick came away with the prize making it 5 balls on the day !!

On to the 8th , where Matt and Nick rejoined the ballhawks on Waveland and prepared themselves
for a game winner . And Geovany Soto delivered , sending a blast just out of reach of fan in the
top row of the bleachers ( I think he actually helped it over ) one hopping of the fence surrounding
the Casino building where Scraps , I mean Nick , slid through the gravel to corral the ball just in front
of a passersby . It also kept the streak alive of all 18 gamers being caught by the Ballhawks this year !!

A little early bp by the Pirates resulting in 5 on Sheffield and 4 on Waveland.

Young ballhawk in training Aaron grabbed a couple deep drives on Sheffield while
I corralled 3 . Ken , all by himself on Waveland handled the 4 hit his way

Garrett Jones , I believe , Ill have to double check later , hit one over the bleachers
that nailed a truck on Sheffield leaving a big ol' dent in the side VIDEO

Game time : Mikey Nick and Matt went inside on their free tickets ... with the former 2 taking to the upper deck
whiLe Matt had a bleacher seat . Matt came close to a gamer .... 10ft he said ... ? Really ? , not really ... lol
but that was the claim after the Koyie Hill Home run to right field .

Now think for a minute what you think 10 feet looks like ....and then think what " close " is .....now tell me if THIS
is what you pictured .



You can see Matt in the far right ... followed by all those fans and the one fan far left picking up the ball ..

Sooooooo Close......... lol .

No early bp , but the Cubs led by Carlos Zambrano did some damage hitting 9 on Waveland.

Carlos , batting right handed due to the lefty starting for the Pirates hit one high off the
Horseshoe casino building ... almost onto the roof. Aaron came away with that prize after
it bounced all the way back to Wrigley's outer wall. George came away from 3 playing
nearly 480 ft away from home near the alley. Matt , Metin and Nick also grab a few .

Nothing in the game however . More details plus video soon ...

... only to have it pop out of his glove ... lol. I think his new name is Toaster Jr.
